Hello! I run annual trips to the Florida Everglades/Keys open to 6th grade students, and to Costa Rica, which is open to 7th grade students and their family members. Students from any school are welcome to join!

In addition to these two annual trips, I lead a third trip each year to a different, international destination, which is open to students of all ages (including junior high, high school, and college) and their family members. Previous international trips have included the Galapagos Islands/Ecuador, Iceland, Cuba, Japan, China. The trips have an educational focus, but are also filled with incredible, fun adventures like white water rafting, zip lining, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, etc., etc.

Florida- Summer Trip Open to 6th Grade Students

Florida is a unique educational setting for wildlife biology, ecology, restoration ecology, and ecosystem management, and a TON of fun to boot! It is an incredible opportunity to experience science 100% hands-on. Students get a chance to snorkel through the world’s third largest coral reef system, kayak through coastal mangroves, swim with dolphins, visit a sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation hospital, explore Everglades National Park by day and night, and a LOT more. Other International Trips- Open to Students in All Grades and Their Family Members

(info below) The trips have an educational focus, but are also filled with incredible, fun adventures like white water rafting, zip lining, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, etc., etc. Students can travel alone, or family members can join- they are amazing family trips! My whole family has been with me to every destination I've led a trip to!

Costa Rica- Summer Trip Open to 7th Grade Students (any school) and Their Family Members/Friends

On the trip, Students explore rain forests, cloud forests, rivers, dry forests, waterfalls, riparian forests, mangroves, lakes, volcanoes and coastal beaches in a matter of days and learn how organisms adapt to their corresponding habitats. Students are welcome to travel alone, but family members & friends are welcome to sign up too- it’s a fantastic family trip! I've brought my whole family on the Costa Rica trip several times.

This program includes exciting adventures like zip lining and white water rafting, and a chance to experience a new culture: integrating fun and social studies with science.
The trip offers students a truly unique and hands-on learning experience. Although only about the size of West Virginia, Costa Rica has 12 distinct ecosystems and more biodiversity than North America or Europe! It is truly an unbelievably unique and beautiful place, and we get to experience it in an incredibly fun and adventurous way!
